The exam takes place in 4 parts :
Reading : reading comprehension
Writing : writing your own texts on given topics
Listening : listening and understanding 4 recordings played back twice
Speaking : short conversation with the examiner on general topics, description of the material presented, conversation with the partner, another person taking the exam on the basis of the indicated material, discussion on the subject of the third part.
To pass the exam, a positive grade must be obtained: A, B or C. Taking the exam you must obtain a minimum of 60% of correct answers, otherwise you obtain a negative grade : D or E. It means that the exam has not been passed and it is not possible to obtain a certificate.
C1 Advanced is an exam determining language knowledge at C1 level. The CAE (C1 Certificate in Advanced English) certificate confirms that you can use English freely, which is so much needed at work and while learning.
The certificate is valid for life.
